A current case exhibit on the third floor of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts features a selection of books, sound recordings, archival documents, and playback equipment from the Rodgers & Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound, the Music Division, the Billy Rose Theatre Division, and the LPA Circulating Collection. It celebrates New York City's disco scene during the 1970s-1980s, including music, fashion, dance, technology, and club venues. The exhibit was curated by four undergraduate students from Duke University who spent part of the Fall 2017 semester researching at LPA as part of the Duke In New York program.
