Gay Liberation Front poster
The Gay Liberation Front (GLF) formed in the wake of the Stonewall Riots, bringing a new wave of people into the LGBTQ political activism that had been growing throughout the 1960s. A new constellation of influences informed this generation, including the peace and student movements, the counterculture, and the Black Panthers and Third World Liberation Front struggles. The GLF quickly expanded across the U.S. and internationally, transforming the course of LGBTQ communities and American politics by changing the terms of LGBTQ struggles from equality to liberation. This promotional poster features an iconic photograph of GLF members.
