- A meeting convened by the Department of Urban Affairs, The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This program examines the school desegregation movement and the progress made thus far in this country. Areas covered include the current status of desegregation in various sections of the country, some legal considerations, the role of court orders, what we have learned from the Southern school desegregation process, some differences between the north and the south, problems in the cities, the effect and influence of the President, some basic problems in ghetto schools, the effect of desegregation on the white flight to the suburbs, and an evaluation of the results and achievements of the desegregation movement.
