Summary
  1. Portraits of entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. ranging from the 1940s to the 1980s. Collection includes promotional stills of Davis and one film still with Dorothy Dandridge from "Porgy and Bess." Davis is seen singing alone and with Trini Lopez, Waylon Jennings, Tom Jones and dancing with Eddie Cantor. Other images show Davis returning from a vacation in Europe, and, on a separate occassion, arriving with Frank Sinatra, Peter Lawford and a TWA stewardess. Also included are views of Davis campaigning with Richard Nixon and Bobby Kennedy. Davis is seen at various functions with James Egert Allen, Britt Ekland and Hal Jackson, receiving an award from the Negro Actors Guild with Will Mastin and Howard Robinson, and talking with Stanley Siegel on "The Stanley Siegel Show." Also included is a still from the television series "Ben Casey" depicting Davis with Isabel Cooley (1963). There is also one portrait of Altovise Gore, Davis' wife. Quarter, half and full-length views are included.
