Summary
  1. Portraits of jazz musician and bandleader Benny Carter taken in the 1940s and 1950s. Collection includes quarter, half and three quarter promotional stills of Carter with saxophone, trumpet and clarinet. Also included are two views of Carter playing the saxophone and one portrait inscribed to the Apollo Theatre. There are also two shots of publicity posters, one advertising a performance with Charlie Barnet which includes a head shot of Barnet.
