Summary
  1. The Poster Collection includes posters and reproductions chronicling events, history, politics, and culture of blacks world over. There are over 4,000 items produced primarily by photomechanical processes in the United States during the mid-twentieth century. There are also limited edition posters produced by original print-making methods. Subjects covered include: performing and visual arts, motion pictures, women, social, cultural and political history, Harlem, education, health and welfare, civil rights, organizations, apartheid, travel, authors, scientists, athletes, entertainers, contemporary leaders, historical figures, and activities.
