Marion (Castillo de San Marcos) at St. Augustine, Florida: view of St. Augustine from the fort; views of the coquina walls, towers battlements, and the moat, the drawbridge, the doorway from the drawbridge with the Spanish coat of arms above it, and details of the coat of arms; views of stairways, the courtyard, some views showing cannons and cannonballs; views of the dungeon from which Osceola escaped during the Second Seminole war; views of sightseers near the walls, on the battlements, on the sea wall in front of the fort, on the stairs in the courtyard; view of Indian prisoners, including Cheyenne, Arapaho, Kiowa, Caddoc (Caddoan?) and Comanche Indians, Indian guards, some views where the individuals are named, including Black Horse, his wife and daughter, perched on old cannons at the fort, Medicine Water, his wife Mochi and Romeo, the Cheyenne interpreter, and Menimac with Black Horse, Medicine Water and their wives. Some views show Indians dressed in native costume, other views show them in Army issue clothing. (Indians were imprisoned at the fort, 1875-1878). Some views duplicated.
