Summary
  1. Documentary about the suppression of Jewish and modernist music in Nazi Germany. The film contains interviews with some musicians who were victims of, or witnesses to, this persecution, including Ernst Krenek, Hans Ulrich Engelmann, Cora Schröder-Auerbach, Berthold Goldschmidt, Alfred Goodman, Alexander Ringer, Oskar Sala, and Herbert Zipper. Musical works shown in performance: excerpts from Krenek's opera Jonny spleit auf, the finale to Goldschmidt's 2nd string quartet, and Langsames Stück und Rondo für Trautonium by Paul Hindemith.
