Subject: 3 views of the illumination (Oct. 4-6, 1745) and fireworks display (Oct. 15, 1745) sponsored by the publisher, A. de Groot, honoring respectively the coronation of Francis I as Holy Roman Emperor and Maria Theresa as Empress); 3 views of the illumination and fireworks display (Jan. 19, 1746) sponsored by J.T. Freiherr von Reisbach honoring the election and coronation of the Emperor; 1 view of the 4 historical allegories constructed in spun sugar and served as dessert at the banquet on the latter occasion. Captions in Dutch, with French translation as legends.
