Summary

1. January 15. Mr. Lyon discusses George Balanchine's ballet, Le bourgeois gentilhomme, reading excerpts from Edwin Denby's review of the ballet, New York Herald-Tribune, February 1945 -- March 9. Mr. Lyon discusses the recently completed season of the New York City Ballet, in particular, Todd Bolender's ballet, Stillpoint, and a new ballet by Francisco Moncion. He then talks about the ballet music by Alfredo Casella for The jar (La giara) and relates the story of the ballet. The music for La giara is played -- May 18. Mr. Lyon announces current dance performances.
