  1. Streaming audio file (approximately 32 minutes). [Music and introductory remarks.] Walter Terry introduces his guest James Clouser, a dancer, composer, choreographer, and ballet master; Clouser speaks with Terry about his background including his studies at the Eastman School [Eastman School of Dance and Dramatic Action] and his association with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet; his choreographic and musical compositions including the Adam and Eve ballet he choreographed for television; composing for ballet compared with composing a "pure" piece of music; more on the Adam and Eve ballet including illustrations (as played by Clouser on the piano) of various themes in the composition; the relationship of the style of his choreography and the accompanying music including his belief that some music is not suitable for dance; the choreographers and composers who influenced him; his duties as ballet master of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet; Clouser plays an excerpt on the piano from a composition on which he is currently working. [Final approximate seven minutes of the recording consists of closing remarks, announcements, and music.]
