- Summary
- SUMMARY: Mr. Joffrey discusses the Joffrey Ballet's Diaghilev celebration program held at the Mark Hellinger Theater, New York. He discusses the ballets L'après-midi d'un faune, Le spectre de la rose, Petrouchka, and Parade, and describes working with Rudolf Nureyev who danced Nijinsky's roles in all of the ballets except Parade. Recordings of Debussy's L'après-midi d'un faune and of Von Weber's Invitation to the dance (the score for Le spectre de la rose) are played in their entirety.
