Includes excerpts from Hollywood musicals: "Hooray for love," 1935, with Bill Robinson, Jeni Le Gon, and Fats Waller; Sammy Lee directing a chorus line and demonstrating a tap routine; Dixie Dunbar in "King of burlesque," 1936, with vocal by Fats Waller -- Performance of Sue's leg (24 min.) / choreography, Twyla Tharp ; music, Fats Waller and other popular composers of the 1930's ; costumes, Santo Loquasto ; lighting, Jennifer Tipton ; performed by Twyla Tharp, Rosemarie Wright, Kenneth Rinker, and Tom Rawe.
