Summary

Documentary about the life and career of Cook, including capsule histories of the all-black musical comedy Shuffle along, Harlem nightclubs, the Apollo Theater, and the Copasetic Club, illustrated with still photographs. Cook and Brown reminisce about the dancers Ernest Brown (Cook's longtime partner), Eddie Rector, Baby Laurence (Laurence Donald Jackson), and Bill Robinson, and demonstrate aspects of their dancing.
