  1. Filmed at the School of American Ballet as a documentary on Gretchen Patchell, John Selya, and Eric Lindemer, the 1988 student recipients of the Mae L. Wien Awards, and Antonina Tumkovsky, the 1988 faculty recipient for meritorious service, who is seen teaching class at the School. The student recipients are seen in the classes of Andrei Kramarevsky, Stanley Williams, and others; each also performs two variations in the studio, in rehearsal clothes, to piano accompaniment.
