Description
  1. 1 videocassette (U-matic, NTSC) (28 min.) : sd., col. with b&w sequence; 3/4 in.
Summary
  1. Choreographers May O'Donnell and Kenneth Rinker, composer Ray Green, and attorney Timothy DeBaets discuss their experiences in making dance programs for CBS Cable at the invitation of producer Merrill Brockway. DeBaets points out how legal counsel can aid the artist in negotiating questions of copyright, performing rights, and royalties. O'Donnell and Rinker discuss issues of artistic control. The notion of cable television as a panacea for artists is also discussed. A b&w excerpt from O'Donnell's Vibrations (music: Ray Green) is screened. In the commentary Esoterica balletica, Betty Low recalls Egorova, Preobrajenska, and Kchessinska as teachers in Paris in the 1930s and 40s.
