Gayle Miller, president of the Capezio Dance Theater Shop in Manhattan, talks about practice clothes past and present, including new synthetics, warm-up clothing, and the adoption of dancewear as streetwear. Some of the items are modeled by Craig and Karen Nazor of the Erick Hawkins Dance Company. Dancer/teacher Nadine Revene presents her own line of dancewear, including a re-designed ballet slipper in stretch fabric, sold by her company Pavlova's Pointe. Models are Alfredo Gonzalez and Amy Coleman. In Esoterica balletica, Betty Low talks about the invention of the leotard, attributed to Jules [here identified as Jacques] Leotard.
