- Description
- 1 videocassette (U-matic, NTSC) (28 min.) : sd., col.; 3/4 in.
- Summary
- Lisa Kraus, Eva Maier, and Stephanie Skura, three dancer/choreographers who work with video, discuss how they incorporate video into their work. They note the type of movement that works best on video, recall some of their experiences in collaborating with video artists, and describe the special qualities of videodance. Their work is represented by excerpts from Skura's Chase scene, Maier's The four seasons, and Kraus' The watchers. In Esoterica balletica, Frances Becker presents an excerpt from The video history of dance, a spoof of the television series The magic of dance, with Becker taking Margot Fonteyn's role of narrator.
