Summary
  1. Guests are Sara Garretson, assistant commissioner of New York City's Office of Business Development, attorney Leonard Easter, and Barbara Zinn-Krieger, executive director of the Vineyard Theatre company. They discuss the complications of finding rehearsal and performance space in New York, including dealing with community boards, using tax incentives in negotiating with landlords, financing, and negotiating leases. Zinn-Krieger relates her own experience of finding a theater. Garretson lists some types of assistance provided by her office. Easter suggests some checkpoints for potential renters. In Esoterica balletica, Lisan Kay (heard in voice-over) discusses the importance of good dance teaching and pays tribute to notable teachers of the past and present. Footage of a ballet class for teen-agers is shown.
