Description
  1. 1 videocassette (U-matic, NTSC) (28 min.) : sd., col.; 3/4 in.
Summary
  1. Guests are dancers Ginger Gillespie, a member of Pooh Kaye/Eccentric Motions Company; Peter Boal of the New York City Ballet; and Frey Faust, a freelancer. Among the subjects they discuss are the relationship of dancer and choreographer, and the degree to which a dancer may contribute to the choreographic process; mapping out career goals; working as a freelance dancer; and doing one's own choreography. Each guest relates examples from his/her own experience: Gillespie with Pooh Kaye, Boal with George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, and Faust with Randy Warshaw. Dance excerpts include Faust performing in David Parsons's Cedar, Stephen Petronio's Walk-in, and Parsons and Daniel Ezralow's Brothers, with Christopher Gillis. Gillespie is seen dancing in Kaye's Active graphics and Swept-up.
