Includes presentation and acceptance speeches, performance excerpts, and interviews with past and present award winners and others. Presenting speeches onstage are: David White, Bill Irwin, Bessie Schoenberg, Kate Johnson, Valda Setterfield, Bill T. Jones, John Kelly, Dana Reitz, David Cale, and Ann Carlson. Appearing in interviews offstage are: White, Stephanie Skura, Amy Pivar, Frances Becker, Schoenberg, Elizabeth Streb, Carlson, and Edwina Lee Tyler. Performance excerpts include: the Minnesota section of David Gordon's United States, performed by Setterfield; Skura's Cranky destroyers; drumming solo by Tyler; Untitled, choreographed/performed by Jones; Memoriam [instrumental number], performed by "Blue" Gene Tyranny; b&w film or video performance by Kelly; Streb's videodance Amphibian; and Carlson's Sarah.
