  1. Special report on the Deaf Way conference held at Gallaudet University, Washington, D. C., in July 1989. Includes numerous brief excerpts of performances presented by deaf dancers, actors, and mimes from companies all over the world. Among them are the National Theatre of the Deaf, Fray Luis Ponce de Leon, mime from Ecuador, Taipei Theater from the Republic of China, Moscow Theater of Mime and Geste, Tinikling Dancers of the Philippines, the American modern dance ensemble P. S. Productions, and Amnon Damti and Company from Israel. Gyorgy Koltai, a clown from Hungary, talks about his work, and is seen performing for deaf children, along with others.
