Summary
  1. In footage from three separate interviews, Ipiotis discusses the issue of censorship in the arts with guests representing three different disciplines. They review recent attacks on the arts by the political right, led by Senator Jesse Helms of North Carolina, and discuss topics such as the definition of obscenity, minority expression through art, social and political subject matter in art, government support of the arts, and the artist's mission as educator. Excerpts from Varone's Home and Force majeure are screened, as are excerpts from television messages sponsored by the Get Smart Artists Ad Hoc Group and New York Foundation for the Arts.
