1. Documents the company directed by Jerome Robbins prior to its inception until its demise through the records kept by the company's producer, Leland Hayward.
2. The largest series, financial papers (ca. 1,950 items), is primarily one of statements and receipts. These comprise box office and payroll records, weekly statements, general receipts, banking records, and workman's compensation papers.
3. The next largest series is correspondence, 1956-1962 (833 items). It includes three letters written by Jerome Robbins pertaining to his working with the Royal Danish Ballet in 1956, in addition to the general correspondence, 1959-1962. The latter is arranged chronologically and is related to the business and artistic aspects of the company's day-to-day operation.
