- Summary
- Photographs of Hine, his family, in particular his son Corydon as a baby; streets scenes showing women in large hats; workers including millinary girls, transient workers, doctors and nurses; children at the New York Public Library; Dunkard and Mennonite man and woman; Armenian, Jewish, Finnish, Serbian, Slavic, Slovak immigrants and an African American from Puerto Rico at Ellis Island; tenement scenes, including family groups, home work, children in streets, including boy drinking from fire hydrant and a newsboy; view of filaments through a microscope; farm landscapes; an Americanization Day parade, July 4, 1916, in Bridgeport, Connecticut; Greek shepherds, including young woman knitting, near Mt. Parnassus; Greek refugees in an inn, Central Serbia, Christmas Eve, 1919; market day in Semendria, Serbia; Parthenon and American doughboy who was born near there; marble statue of a woman found on the site of the Garden of Sallust, Rome, at the Isabella Gardiner Museum, Boston. Includes some views that are duplicates, variants, or replacements for images in Unit I and Unit II.
