  1. Cassette 1 (ca. 58 min.). Traditional music / instrumental introduction to an African vigil in Senegal, featuring music played on the kora, balafon, dan, tama, and traditional drums following the inspiration of griots, master storytellers and musicians.
  2. Keme Bourama song / dedicated to Keme Bourama, oldest brother of Samory Toure, a war chief who resisted the French penetration of West Africa.
  3. Bineta Faye and Dienaba Ndiaye song / homage to two women famed for their skill and courage.
  4. Masks--Coumpo--Stilts / dance depicting a young girl frightened by sacred spirits.
