Parte del Christo) includes the solo part of Christ accompanied by an instrumental group, while the 2nd (Passio per il martedi santo. Turba passionis), which is for a vocal quartet supported by solo violin and thorough bass, interprets the roles of all the minor characters and of the crowd. This composite work is preceded here by an introductory piece for solo bass and instruments (Lectio prima in primo notturno del'Uffizio dei morti) and concludes with a hymn (O quot undis) for vocal quartet and winds.
