Summary
  1. Etched illustrations accompanying etched text and title page. Most illustrations are reproductions of works of art by Antoine-Louis Barye, Jean Baptiste Carpeaux, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, Edouard Daliphard, Augustin-Pierre-Bienvenu Chenu, Mariano Fortuny, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Jean Francois Millet, Hippolyte Alexandre Julien Moulin, Théodore Rousseau, Jules Jacques Veyrassat & others. Some works were exhibited in the Salon of 1875. Subjects include views of the Quai d'Orsay, the Théâtre du vaudeville & other sites in Paris, a woman spinning & a personnification of the New Year. A landscape print by Rousseau depicts rain. Some prints are present in more than one state. One print is a bon à tirer proof.
