Conclusion of the talk by Peg Leg Bates (ca. 6 min.), which began on *MGZIC 9-5749. Continuing his reminiscences of Ed Sullivan, he recalls being the first African-American to appear on Sullivan's television show. He also discusses the importance of having faith in oneself as a dancer, and introduces his wife Alice, also a dancer. Followed by ca. 3 min. of candid footage.
"Cocktail hour with John Bubbles" (ca. 11 min.). First in a series of four conversations between John Bubbles and Jane Goldberg; the others were held on October 16, 17, and 18. Topics include combining dancing with talking, how Bubbles started dancing, the Hoofers' Club, the importance of creativity, and Bubbles's development of a new style of tapping. This session continues on *MGZIC 9-5746 and *MGZIC 9-5744.
