Summary
Part of the documentation of By word of foot II, a tap dancing festival presented by the Changing Times Tap Dancing Company on December 3 and 4, 1982. Tribute to tap dancer Albert Gibson, also called Bert "Gip" Gibson, now an amputee. After an introductory speech by Jane Goldberg, Stewart Alter, the president of the Changing Times Tap Dancing Company, gives a speech in verse in honor of Gibson, and Jackie Raven presents Gibson with a plaque. Gibson himself acts as the master of ceremonies for much of the tribute, which includes dance performances by a trio of women (including Raven), a solo by Tina Pratt, a solo by Dennis Sly (?) to "Too marvelous for words," and vocalizing by Gibson. Gibson, in his wheelchair, occasionally joins in the dancing.
