Includes interviews with her, her mother, her teacher William Pleeth, Daniel Barenboim, and Sir John Barbirolli, as well as still photos and excerpts of her performing various works. The film is focused on the special relationship Du Pré had with the Elgar Cello concerto, and side 2 includes a complete performance of the work with Du Pré as cellist accompanied by the New Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Daniel Barenboim.
