Summary
  1. Memorial for Jerome Robbins, recalling his achievements as a dancer, choreographer and director. Most of the speakers worked with him on Broadway musicals as creative collaborators or performers, although his work with Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet is also recalled. The speakers reminisce about Robbins as a private person and in professional life. The speeches are interspersed with pre-recorded video sequences containing interviews with Robbins and others, still photographs, musical excerpts, and excerpts from stage and film performances. Among the works discussed are the ballet Fancy free ; the musicals On the town, Billion dollar baby, High button shoes, Peter Pan, Look, ma, I'm dancin', The king and I, West side story, Fiddler on the roof, Jerome Robbins' Broadway ; the plays Mother Courage, Oh Dad, poor Dad... The program ends with the song "Somewhere" from West side story, sung by original cast members and others.
