- From Jan. 23 to Mar. 18, 1882, Lillian Russell appeared in The Stage Struck Maidens, Tony Pastor's burlesque of Patience, with music and libretto by Jacques Kruger. She later performed in Gilbert and Sullivan's original at the Bijou Opera House, June 5-24, 1882, repeating her performance Sept. 9-Oct. 7 that year, and again July 13-Sept. 21, 1896, at the Herald Square Theatre, New York, N.Y.
