Summary
  1. Documentary on the theater work Singing myself a lullaby, and its sole performer, John Henry (1947-1996), a dancer, choreographer, and educator. Through the words of Henry and family members, friends, colleagues, collaborators, and scholars, the documentary examines Henry's multifaceted life as well as the making of the theater work in which he confronted and prepared for his death from AIDS. The discussion also treats issues of identity and truth in art that were raised in relation to the work.
