Summary
  1. Playwright Edward Albee is interviewed in his New York apartment by Melvyn Bragg. In addition to examining the influence of his early life on his work, Albee describes his writing process and discusses several of his plays, including Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The zoo story, The American dream, and Three tall women. Critic Frank Rich and playwright John Guare also speak briefly about Albee. Excerpts from The zoo story featuring Jeff Harding and Ronald Pickup, and The American dream featuring Sheila Gish and Deborah Watson, were staged for this program.
