Review of the English National Ballet in its annual Tour de Force visits to smaller venues in April 2002. The repertoire included Cathy Marston's Facing Viv, inspired by T.S. Eliot's relationship with his wife Viv, and his poem The Waste Land; Dances from Napoli, staged by Dinna Bjørn after August Bournonville; the Grand pas from Paquita, [staged by Derek Deane]; Patrick Lewis's Manoeuvre, to a commissioned score by Philip Feeney; George Balanchine's Square dance; and Frederic Franklin's Grand pas classique from Raymonda.
