- [Begins abruptly.] Jerome Robbins discusses his upcoming retrospective, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, including his reasons for doing the show, the initial research, the restoration and recreation of his dances, the transitions from one dance number to the next and the rehearsals. Robbins discusses casting and costuming; working in ballet compared with Broadway; his perfectionism in his work with performers; the nature of dance and theater and its relationship to life, art and literature; his purpose for doing the show and its effect on the audience; his absence from Broadway for the previous two decades; the cast for Jerome Robbins' Broadway; his expectations from a performer in relation to the material being performed; his feelings about his life, work and age [ends abruptly].
