- Segment one: The today show, aired Channel 4, May 25, 1988, 7:00 a.m. Jane Pauley interviews actors Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller about their respective roles in Romeo and Juliet and Much ado about nothing at the New York Shakespeare Festival.
- Segment two: 1988 Tony awards, aired Channel 2, June 5, 1988, 9:00 p.m. Announcement of the nominees for best featured actress in a play, including Kate Nelligan for Caryl Churchill's play Serious money, which first ran off-Broadway at the Public Theater and was produced on Broadway by the New York Shakespeare Festival and Joseph Papp.
