Summary
  1. Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Christine Redpath, directs rehearsals of Fanfare. In the first rehearsal, the four groups (Woodwinds, Strings, Brass and Percussion) rehearse separately their variations and their parts in the opening and fugue. The violin variation is ommitted from the Strings rehearsal; it is rehearsed on May 9. Robbins gives corrections, discusses and demonstrates choreography.
