Summary
  1. In a letter to Bob (surname unknown), Jerome Robbins discusses the inclusion of the ballet, Interplay (1945) in the program of Ballets: U.S.A., then on tour in Europe sponsored by the U.S. State Department. Robbins discusses the difficulties of putting the ballet into the company's current program; his intention to include the ballet in performances in Athens and Dubrovnik; a festival director's disappointment in having the ballet, Moves (1959) removed from the program; the lack of trust and support shown to his dance company by the State Department. Letter ends (ca. 5 min.). The remaining (ca. 15 min.) of recording contains folk songs from Yugoslavia.
