- Summary
- Drawing upon his own experience, choreographer-director Stephan Koplowitz discusses the creation of site-specific performances. He screens and provides a running commentary for video excerpts of his works Genesis canyon (1996), presented at the Natural History Museum, London; Babel index (1998), at the British Library, London; Kohler [i.e. Kohle?] Körper (1999), at the Kokerei Coke [coal] Factory, Essen, Germany; Fenestrations 2 (1999), new version of a work originally presented in 1987, at Grand Central Terminal, New York City; Aquacade (2000), at Asphalt Green AquaCenter, New York City; In(formations) (2001), at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, New York City. He also shows two short films that he wrote and directed, Catching the 5:23 and Catching the game, and answers questions from the audience.
