- Pianist/vocalist Michael Feinstein hosts this "video seminar" on the works of composer George Gershwin and his lyricist brother Ira, with the emphasis on three of their Broadway shows: Strike up the band (1930), Of thee I sing (1931), and Let 'em eat cake (1933). Feinstein discusses the history of each show and performs several songs from each. Also included is archive footage of George Gershwin rehearsing a number from Strike up the band with the comedy team of Bobby Clark & Paul McCullough.
