Summary
  1. German television production of the "Cologne section" of Robert Wilson's opera the Civil wars. Includes an interview with Wilson conducted by Martin Wiebel and Jürgen Flimm in which Wilson discusses the adaptation of his work for TV, and the difficulties and differences between stage works and television works. Wilson explains the title and the significance of the subtitle as an American folk saying. He reads a letter written to him by the co-author of the piece, Heiner Müller. A shortened broadcast version of the work is presented.
