Summary
  1. Merce Cunningham accepts the Algur H. Meadows Award for Excellence in the Arts. The first tape begins with excerpts from a performance by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. The Dean of Southern Methodist University introduces the award and gives a tribute to Merce Cunningham. At the beginning of the second tape, M.C. Richards gives a tribute to Cunningham, and Cunningham gives an acceptance speech, thanking collaborators, staff members and dancers. At the end of the tape, Cunningham introduces the dancers in his company.
