Description
  1. 2 videodiscs (DVD) (134 min.) : sd., col.; 4 3/4 in.
Summary
  1. "The Black Rider is Wilson's homage to German Expressionism, with the distorted perspectives of Expressionist painting and the exaggerated gestures of cabaret and silent movies. Based loosely on the German folktale underlying von Weber's opera Der Freischutz (1821), the production has many American twists, as one might safely assume with collaborators like Tom Waits and William Burroughs" -- robertwilson.com.
