Summary
  1. This program presents four ballets inspired by works created and performed by the Ballet Suedois between 1920 and 1925. Murray Louis speaks with Erik Näslund, director of the Stockholm Dance Museum, about the origins and success of the Ballet Suedois and the contributions of founder Rolfe de Maré and choreographer Jean Börlin. Louis introduces each piece on the program, showing slides of sketches on which the costumes were based and discussing the music and original choreography.
