- Summary
- Excerpts from the opera Marco Polo are interspersed with commentary by composer Tan Dun and followed by a panel discussion on the creation and staging of the opera. Tan Dun speaks about the fusion of Chinese and western musical elements, and his collaboration with librettist Paul Griffiths; Dun and Chen discuss the Peking Opera style of singing. Clarke discusses her choreography and Stephen Bryant comments on learning overtone singing for his part in the opera.
