- Summary
- This documentary presents a day in the life of 52-year-old prima ballerina Yoko Morishita, emphasizing her influence on ballet in Japan and how she continues to dance despite her age. Morishita is seen rehearsing, teaching and performing in excerpts from Swan lake and Romeo and Juliet; relaxing in her dressing room, and speaking in interviews. Archival footage of earlier performances is interspersed, including a recording of Morishita dancing with Rudolf Nureyev. This program was part of the series Ningen dokyumento (Human document); a preview for the next program in the series appears at the end.
