Summary
  1. Graciela Daniele discusses her career with Newsday critic Linda Winer. Argentinian-born Daniele, who began her career as a dancer, is known for her direction of innovative dance dramas and musical theater pieces. Daniele discusses moving from Paris to New York as a young woman inspired by West Side story, working under Michael Bennett and Bob Fosse, choreographing productions for producer Joseph Papp and the New York Shakespeare Festival, her preference for directing original works rather than revivals, and her "hero," choreographer Jerome Robbins.
