Summary
  1. Isabelle Stevenson discusses her career with Newsday critic Linda Winer. Ms. Stevenson, who died six months after this interview was taped, was an advocate for quality theatre in New York for almost 40 years. She was the public face of the American Theatre Wing, an institution is devoted to making theatre accessible to schools and communities, developing careers in the theatre, and presenting the Tony Awards. Stevenson discusses the history of the Wing, her career in the theatre as part of the Vaudeville trio Nice, Florio and Lubow, and the role that women playwrights and producers played in the development of the American Theatre Wing.
